    First time Satellite buyer.

Okay looking to buy a F5s box (been recommended) if not a good choice please tell me otherwise.

    Questions:
What is the full name of the f5s box - is there a difference from the v5s?

How hard is the setup? - is there a 100% up-time?

When connecting to our current Sly dish, will it cause Sly any problems/interference (it's my sisters )

Where shall I buy the box? to ensure it's genuine.

I wont go into any particulars on the difference of these receivers as i dont own any of them but what i can tell you is this if your expecting HD channels for Satellite @ 28.2? east then forget it apart from the obvious Freesat ones that are FTA there is only a handful left.

If you want HD then stick with Cable but find other means something which cannot be discussed on this Forum, but there are plenty of threads lying about that will guide you enough to make a choice

Thanks for your response, I'm already using Cable now for SV7, if I was to buy another cable box, how would I go about it? because of the Vermin wire is in the back on the SV7 already isn't it?

you would remove the SV7 completely and connect this to your new DVB-C capable receiver, there are plenty about at the moment but the cheapest is the Zgemma H1 which is a satellite and cable receiver Linux Enigma2 based

Read this thread here to give you a better idea: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...Star-H1-amp-2S

Please remember that we cannot discuss anything to do with accessing paid for channels illegally on this forum, But there is enough information in the cable section if you search to help you along
