    openbox v8s webtv

    Hi all

Hope someone can help me out. I would like to add my own m3u list for webtv on my v8s. Could anyone guide me in the right direction on this. The box already has English, French, German etc on there but many of them don't work. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers everyone.

Delete the list that you already have & search online for m3u files. Some sites let you download as a file, with other you will need to copy & paste the list.

For the V8 to recognise the file it must be named WebTV.m3u.

There are 2 ways to upload the file to the box. Menu > tools > upgrade by USB. Select upgrade mode = misc files. Select select & upgrade = WebTV.m3u (web stream). Press OK to select. Press Yellow to install. Press info to confirm install.

You can also upload the file through Menu > network local setting > network app > WebTV. Press yellow button to "read by USB". Press OK when prompted.

You will probably still find that a lot of the streams you find for free on the internet might not work.

Thanks for the info guys. I have managed to get it up and running. The only problem I have is that when you are on the channel list screen it only displays the name of channel 1 all other channels are displayed as " no name ". Any ideas anyone.

        Cheers.

Depends on the list that you are using, which is it if i may ask?
I tried using the "sports" list from the site i gave you but none of the links seem to be working - easier for me to just use Kodi for foreign channels.
Would have been nice to view BeIN from my skybox though...
