Lost a lot of channels

I have lost a lot of channels on my skybox f5. Just random really. Not just v ones or h ones. Could it be the dish slightly out do you think and only the strongest coming through? Or any other ideas welcome.

maybe try a full scan and c if u get channels back if not cold be a few things dodgy box,dish,lnb,or cables,if u can try yer box at family/friends and c if it gets channels back cheers shaun

Thanks Shaun. Could you help me with this? I got a channel update but the first 5 channels to not do anything at all. So, could I have a bad channel update. You see I don't really understand how it works.

Also got this I have 3 boxes go on me this week not good

Box 1. Power just died on me
Box 2. All the sly channels have no Signal
Box 3. It's coming up no signal on every channels ...

Looks like going to have to get more boxes

Why not just re flash the boxes with the latest firmware ?

Also if you have box 2 & 3 on at the same time this could be why you get no signal on all the channels

Box 1 needs a psu
other 2 boxes need updating
But better still buy a better box

With you having the F5 i would say its the same problem = firmware out of date

Goto menu /system info /whats the firmware version

I sorted this now. It was the dish!! Just moved a fraction and some channels didn't work at all! Thanks for everyones help.
