OpenBox V8S ! Problems getting signals

Hi chaps,

Bought an OpenBox thinking it will be OPEN

Anyhow , When I start it up there were some channels list already presented and I try to watch it but nothing. NO Signals.


Follow the instruction from the forum and install the latest software, upgrade it o~~~~~/by network too. Then install the latest channels list. Nothing. No freeview let alone OPEN channels.

At the moment:

Signals Intensity : 36%
Signal Quality: 10%

I have the original SKY+ box which has two cables connected to it on the back, I tried both of those cables one by one. same result in signal strength and intensity. But if I connect even one of the cable to SKY+ box it work fine.


any suggestion please?

did you turn the sky+ box off

Hi check your settings

antenna menu settings
satellite 1/1 sky uk 28a
lnb freq universal 9750-10600


If all correct.....delete the channel list on the box & reboot it
if done right you should have NoCH on the front display

Down load this channel list then Load this via usb ....AJ's List 1-11-15.zip

reboot the box see if you get the FTA back

Make sure there is only one cable into the box from the dish.....Not in the loop
make sure there are no cables from the dish in the original box this will interfere with the signal to the openbox

Still the same thing. NO Signal.

I have tried almost everything possible. I thing receiver on this box is faulty. It has no signal since I got it. So probably its faulty.

Any trustable seller to buy this box from? Who can at least check it before sending out faulty box.
