V8s pulling in HD channels ONLY

I setup a lot of these boxs and know them let the back of my hand, but this a the 2nd box iv come across in recent times that ONLY the HD channels will work on..

Premium (BT/Setanta etc) and FTA channels work no problem but no SD channels will, just get no signal. More than likely a faulty tuner but id like to hear your opinions on it.

I would have though a faulty tuner would mean no channels would work?

Satellite connection is perfect as other V8s boxs work perfect on it, internet and other thing are good as Premium HD channels work..

Think you've hit the nail on the head, if other v8s' running the same firmware tied up to the same satellite connection can't find and display all the SD channels then it sounds like a faulty tuner, return to seller for a refund.

What you've got to remember the openbox series is a cheap mass produced ̷c̷h̷i̷n̷e̷s̷e̷ ̷t̷a̷t̷ sat receiver = cheap components & cheap unskilled labour putting them together.
