    s9 tuner

    hi all have three openbox s9 receivers no signal on any channels think its the tuners not sure is this common T.I.A

    Doubt all 3 tuners would go at the same time try a new channel list and check your dish for any movement also buy a better box

      all old boxes maca belonging to mates given to me to sort them out all from the same company thats why i thought bad batch tuners ?

                There's a polyfuse in series with the power supply to the tuner that can go open circuit or high value. It is mounted close to the tuner & is yellow/orange colour. It looks like a disc capacitor. It might have something like M60 065 or W60 065 (or something similar) printed on it.

                You can see if this is causing the problem by temporarily shorting it out by twisting the leads together.
