New v8s problem

I have just bought a new v8s and when I start it up it just says no signal on all channels including fta? Is the box no good or am I missing something?

Possible a satellite dish if your getting no signal.......only joking
1st place to start is...
check you have the cable in LNB & not the loop
If still the same check the dish alignment is correct

Then if everything is ok....could be the settings on the box.......eliminate the easy things first

I have an amiko micro and this works fine with the same cables/dish, have read about no signal problem but this is on all channels. Have tried firmware update and channel list over network but still no signal, and seller says fta should be on straight away?

are both boxes connected at the same time ?
If yes connect only the V8s box.....disconnect the cable from any other box including the official box if you have one

If still no joy its the settings on the box or the box is knacked

One last thing again disconnect all cables from any other boxes.....and do a blind scan on the V8s if it picks no channels up then could be a dead tuner......then you know the box is dead

Cheers have tried that and no channels come up it just says failed, will be sending it back.

i have this problem brand new openbox updated the channels and some frequencies work some dont ,and the second box all channels ok problem is with 11934 v 27500 showing no signal and dish is allinged ok ?
tried neat scan still not working cuold it be the tuner ?
