Lost channels scrambled channels etc

Hi I've got my friends sky box his code has ran out all channels were working fine before.
I've given him a xxxx xxxx to try but he's lost a lot of channels also a few sports saying scrambled and all moviemovies scrambled I've done a new list update also single searches and tp search still saying scrambled list has gone in fine as checked the info I did searches through wifi will I lose channels cos of this? I'm baffled why it's not working xxxx xxxx is online I get sports 1 and 2 sky1 and many others no sports 3 4 or 5 or bt and no movies hope someone can help as I'm at a loss n don't know what else to do to get channels bk n un scrambled ty.

Sorry but we cannot help you to gain access to paid channels.......

We can help with the box.....Try unplugging the router & the box & home plugs if you have them
wait a few min's
Then plug them all back in & switch them on see if this clears the problem
