A couple of days ago I took delivery of a openbox v8s. I have updated my channel list with Cwaites sky channel list and everything is good but I have a couple of questions.
If I change channel on the box using up/down channel then the blank channels are being skipped but when I look at the EPG (XMLTV) it shows all channels, including the blank ones which seems a bit pointless, is there any way to hide the blank channels on the EPG?
Again with the XMLTV EPG the program times are an hour out. The time on the Openbox is correct but for example according to the EPG news at ten is on at 9pm and if it's 6pm and I want to set the timer via the EPG for 6:30pm it says the program had expired. I know I would probably get used to it but it will always bug me, is there away to fix it. BTW I have Summertime set to on.
I have the Openbox wired to my router and other equipment connects to router via wifi, last night while I was playing about with the timer on the Openbox my son complained it made is game lag quite badly. Does the openbox use that much bandwidth? if I connected the openbox with a wifi adapter and moved the router to a more central point in the house would that make any difference to the openbox?
I am considering getting a 2nd box, a twin tuner like the Zgemma Star H.2S as it falls within my tight budget. Does this have the same XMLTV time problem?
Thanks
