    using openbox in northern spain

    Hi

    My parents used to use a S*Y box to watch the free to view english channels in Costa Brava, northern spain but they have lost things like BBC one etc. they can watch some english speaking channels like CNN. I don't know if this is a S*Y change or a BBC change that has caused this so wonder if they took an open box over if it would work and if they would get the channels they have lost back?

    Also if they do work, am I right in thinking they do not need to connect the openbox to the internet once it is set up as they only want it for the FTV channels? I would put an utpo date channel list on a stick for them just before they go.

    Thanks in advance

    Some BBC channels will not pick up in Spain. An Openbox will work on FTA without internet. They should manage to get some of the regional BBC's if their dish is big enough.

      your looking at a 1.8m dish now in Spain to get pretty much all the channels, fta channels will clear no problem, premium on the other hand may well do if you have internet connected and your magic is good
