Can i backup openmedia 500cs and restore onto a new box??

I guys,

A mate has an opemedia 500cs box which currently unlocks loads of channels, his box is linked to his router so i think he is connecting to a card sharing server, but he isn't sure either as his system was set up a satellite engineer.

Anyways what i would like to know is is there a way of me backing up the data on his box and then restoring it onto a new box for me so that i can set it up at my house??

will it copy all the keys, images etc ......

You could put backup image on your box but it won't unlock any channels for you as the satellite installer has configured your m8's box in particular way that it will only work from your m8's internet at his house. Even if you were to unplug your m8's box and take it to your house it won't work for you.
