SKYBOX F5s questions

Having always owned a Dreambox I am in the dark with Skyboxes

1. what is a good image to flash and is it via the rs 232
2. what is the picture quality like
3. I need an F5 remote but there are loads of different ones for sale all described as 'genuine', which is the best?
4. How does the F5 compare to the F3

Any help appreciated.

Difference is mostly cosmetic f5 looks better and smaller with a scart socket as well picture quality is good and you flash it via usb you upgrade channel list via usb and you unbrick it via rs 232. hth

I did a blind scan but strangely some channels don't open.The epg is just now and next and the apps dont work including xmltv epg-is this any good? The fw appears to be 2014 so should be ok. Are there sw tools for channel editing etc? Picture quality is average on sd channels.
