houston...we have a problem...

i tried to update my channels on my skybox v8?I firstly deleted all the existing channels via the ?edit channel? page. Then foolishly, instead of rescanning whilst it was still turned on, I turned it off, thinking it would clear the internal memory.Upon turning the box back on, it went through the normal boot sequence, but stopped when the display showed
'No CH?.
I now cannot find a way to access the menu option to rescan.
I read that I may have to ?reflash the box??.but don?t know what that is.
I am an enthusiastic but not technically gifted pensioner so please be tolerant in your comments


Can any body offer me a solution to my dilemma?

you did what you set out to do delete your channel list........

the reason you cannot access the menu is because you have no channel list on the box
you need to add a channel list to the box....via usb....not by scanning
