my supplier changes me boxes without any complains about flashed softwares etc.
they are made for this, don?t worry they know and want you keep as aclient.
don,t think they will have somebody giving bad statements about sat shops.

ok matey. i have emailed em and just waitin now. do you know if the older firmware has different TP settings?
Hi,
I've just bought an s9 openbox, Its great but the only problem I am finding is that connecting it to a 50" plasma the HD picture is not crisp and switches from a light to bright effect every so often. I have tried 480,576,1080 settings, but the picture is not HD. I have connected it with a good quality gold plated HDMI cable to HDMI1.
got a openbox s9 hd and it came with everything on it plus sly channels but some of them are scrammbled and some are not fta are all ok could sombody plz help me its driving me mad
mine must be faulty mate. as i said it only seems to scan a very few verticle tp's. it is a brand new lnb and also when i connect a sd box using the same connection, and do a scan i pick up all tp's.
thanks matey, i'm slowly coming to the conclusion that is the box. i read somwhere that there is atrnsistor that regulates the switch between H & V tp's and that if this is faulty it will not switch. What i did find just before i re flashed my box again is that is i change the frequency of the TP's in the Antenna setup then i get a strong signal on the bars. But i can only scan on that frequency.
Think i will email the seller and see if they will do a swap.
Yep im getting exactly the same problem. Its like certain groups of channels are on a different LNB Frequency from all the others. So this isnt normal, i thought maybe i just didnt know how to use it properly. Anyone found any kind of solution yet?

Try the following
Menu
Installation
Antenna setup
Select your satellite and then change LNB frequency as it may be incorrect. i.e change to ( Universal 9750-10600)
Check your Signal Intensity and Quality and see if they improve. If so initiate scan on satellite using this Lnb Freq.

tried all that mate. i had great signal strength on the Horizontal TP's but then it dropped to 45 on strenth and 5 on the other one on most of the Verticle TP's.
Why don't you guys try an in-line amp. I had this problem with a Dreambox 500 as said in another thread on the forum. The problem seemed to be the music channels, the kids channel and sly sports 2. One I put the in-line amp into the set-up it worked brilliantly. The cable run wasn't that long either, it was about 25 feet.
It's worth a go guys, they sell on ebay for ?3.99. I got mine from a local sat guy for a fiver.
