I gave up and bought a Cyclone Primus Media Player...it's great, plays all my avi's, mkv, mpegs, divx, jpegs, mp3s etc and has freed up space on my pc...recommended !

After i put the march-15 firmware it has stopped saying my box is a clone and bricking it.
now its really fine.

I just didnt like that the blind scan is really slow in these newer versions.
I think they have changed it to scan the bandwich since 1000kbps, before was 2000kbps to 45000kbps.

I'm using the march firmware and iv put the October firmware on no problem.

Yes, but still locked in english language as first/second priority. When changing audio to DK it just skips back to english without saving the changes.

I tryed some modyfied dk soft but this makes the cccam log on/off all the time and still ? ? ? jumps all over the subs.

Anyone ?

my box will be deliverd on wed is there anything i shud know about firmware ,can i just scan it on 28.2 or is it better to put a channel list in first .just read a few threads sounds a bit scary (bricked/clone boxes /rebooting itself etc)

I have a question, how easy is it to tune a motorised dish with this box using diseqc 1.2.

Some boxes I've had in the past will display the sat provider to let you know you facing the right sat, does the S9 do this. I need to use disqec as my motor struggles with usals.

Should have the S9 in the next couple of days.

i am using Openbox s9 HD lsat 7 months ..no prob ..if u are new to linux systems go to openbox s9 hd easy to setup and enjoy all hd chanels with out problems..cccam and newcam works very good freeze freeeeee
but not accept more then 7000 tv channels :-) and
can not connect to pc or laptop

Just wondering has anyone tried out the Openbox S9 HD PVR Linux Satellite Receiver saw them on ebay for ?125

had one now as 3 months!!!!! cant find a problem other than the reboot thing but was sorted when i made up a few favs lists.... hd is perfect

i've been away for a while from the dreambox scene, now thinking of ditching sky but i want to keep my HD sub & use around the house, i have a open media (dm500 clone) could i use this as my server with sky card in & use 2 of these boxes in my other rooms ok & share the sub?
