    Openbox s9 No signal

    Hello all,
I have got this openbox s9 and done all connection and gone through the setup process but when i go in channel list. For only some channels i am getting "No signal" message and those are channels i really want to view. I am not sure where i am going wrong.

Can anyone let me know how to resolve this issue.

    Thanks Minden.

I'm just about to set up mine, so interested in this problem in case I come up against it myself. Did you scan the sat for channels or are the channels preset from a list? I ask because I think I read someone reporting this problem when using a downloaded list. The solution offered to that scenario, was to scan the sat for channels first, then load your channel list, over writing the previous scanned channel list.

I think I had a similar problem with mine. I don't know the technical reasoning behind it but.... on the Antenna setup screen, mine would not show a signal for some transponders but would for the vast majority. I found that changing the LNB Freq range setting had an impact on how many were affected. The best I have found is to have the LNB Freq - Universal (9750-10600). I'm using a standard Sky style quad LNB.

      Hope this helps.

bernado:- In the start i had scanned for channels but realised that the channels i want view is not listed in scanned channel list. Hence i did image copy from my friends openbox s9. Going through the channels list for the one i wanted showed no signal.
stokeyMatt:- Thanks for the info but i think i had this setup
LNB Freq - Universal (9750-10600) i recheck and give a go at it.
eattheliving:- Line amp/single feed this is new concept to me will have to look into it. Can you provide some more info on it as to how to use it?

          Thanks

Hi minden, if you buy an in line amp like this :

In-Line Signal Amplifier For Satellite Sky plus hd 2Fs. it's on ebay

and connect it up to your box(in is feed from LNB,out is to your box) it will boost the signal from the lnb and hey presto all channels. From reading some of the posts on here it is vital that the amp is a sloping one...ie 13db to 18db as this one is and not just on freq ie 20db

hope this makes sense to you
