    time reset

    Hi,

Just got an Openbox S9 and its running well except for 2 things :

    1. How can I set the resolution to 1080i ?
Under Menu > System Setup > TV System >
    Video Resolution,
there is only a choice of Auto, 576i and 480i.

    2. Everytime the receiver is turned off the date and time resets
back to 1/1/08 and 00:00. This will cause all the preset
    recording times to not work.

My apologies for these rather simple questions but this is the first time I am using a satellite decoder and I have no idea what's going on.

Thank you and any guidance is very much appreciated.

    Regards

In the above set up menu you looked at, set Video Out option to YUV. Then all will be revealed. You will of course need an HDMI lead connected, but I'm sure you knew that.

      Thank you so much.

I have the HDMI lead connected but my Video Out wasn't set to YUV.

      Its working fine now.

No problem. Only had mine a week now, so I'm not far ahead of you

I have noticed crackling and pop noises during loud parts in movie etc. This is via audio thru the hdmi. Via digital out it's fine. Anyone else have audio issues?

You could try turning S9s volume down and your TV volume up
