    Headache with motor

I have spent a few hours lining up the desq 1.2 motor which now sweeps across all the satellites in order (well from thor to astra 2), i have entered all the sats in the tuner menu (advanced etc). I go down to satfinder and it locks onto the correct sat (ie Hotbird) when i select the the frequency etc: and return to the menu to go into sat positioner the motor goes back to the first storage position (28.2). even though I selected say hotbird. anyone help please
If only I had more time that I could waste

yes this is the only way i have setup a dm800 on motor think, there is a guide somewhere,

think you set dish at 1w and enter long lat correctly for your house and thats it it knows where every sat is

          Ok bubbles
I have set my tuner to usals on my long lat, i have done this on each sat, I then lined up thor .8 and bbc world cleared, whn i select (green ) satellite the motor does not move to the selected satellite but stops on thor Ahhhhhhhhh!

Yeah use USALS. I set mine at 0.8w as it has the strongest SNR on free to air channels like BBC World etc.

Enter Longitude & Latitude and you should be up and running mate.

Menu/Setup/Service Searcing/Tuner Configuration/ Choose Simple positioner mode and put your Long and lat in,its the best way and use the latest set of bouquets from Sgtflipflop or Catseyes and you will be fine.
Usals is the easiest just make sure your Long and Lat are correct.

              Andy.

Yeah make sure your Long & Lat are correct otherwise it will not work properly. Also for each satellite choose LNB1 on the advanced mode.

53?24'N entered as 053.350N, is that the correct format. Still the motor does not move away from thor, does it matter if it's a clone?

                    Thanks All
I have sorted the problem, it was a faulty 1.2.motor, new motor fitted and sats scanned, one thing though, even though i entered all the sats from thor to arabsat, some sats are missing, any help appreciated
                    Thanks

for the weaker sats i just use fine tune it as it can be hard to pick them up with usauls unless lined up 100%
