    dreambox web interface, wireless problem

hi this is my problem when i have my laptop connected with the Ethernet i can access the dreambox web interface, but when i take out the wire and put on the wireless i cannot get back into

this also seems to be the case with my router i can get into without having it connected with the Ethernet,
I have tried different images without luck

Does any have this problem or no a fix for it

    any help will be good

    thanks in advance

i think ur problem maybe change of ip adress

ur router is the default address eg. 192.168.1.1

it automatically assigns any connecting devices an ip address similar, eg if ur laptop is connected it will be 192.168.1.2 and if ur dreambox is also connected it may have the ip address of 192.168.1.3.

so when ur laptop is connected to the ethernet then u take the ethernet out, the order of assignment might change eg ur dreambox may change from 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.2

so when u have the wireless on, just check ur communication settings on ur dreambox and check what the ip address is there, then type that into ur browser

Untick dhcp on dreambox and give your box a static ip address, this should connect for ye.

        hi seanmackoewn
thanks for reply i have tried what you said and had a look at the dreambox setting and copyed it as it says on the screen but it did the same thing which was it worked wired but not wireless

but i don?t understand if my router is set to default 192.168.1.1, so should not change when i am wired up or wireless so why can i not connect to that when i am wireless

                    Hi All

did we find a solution for above issue please?

i am facing the same Problem with DM500S

i am trying to log in through WEB Interface using my wireless connection but failed, while using a cable there are no problems.

I even tried the ENIGMEDIT and i set the IP of the dreambox as usual but still unable to connect through wireless.

please your support (note that this issue is only faced with windows 7, means i tried windows XP and it is working well as a cable and wireless but the windows 7 only works as a cable but not wireless).

You would need a wireless usb dongle for the 800hd and a wifi bridge for the 500s to make them wireless.
