standby mode

Guys, new to the sat division. Got myself a dm 8oo hd box up and running. Everythings as it should be, was advised to leave the box on standby, as if they are not powered off properly some have been fried. Problem is when left in standby overnight, get up in the morning and the box seems to be frozen, all ok again when powered down and started from scratch. Anyone else have the same problem on the standby mode? Strange

i power mine of each night mate going to menu an shut down and have never had a problem, 1 and half year now mate, also clone

it only seems to happen when left in standby m8. Powering off and on working fine. Seen another post regarding the 800 booting up whenever it wanted, again when left in standby.( black screen) Makes it easier for the kids and wife turning it off. Just dont want them to fry it, as I have heard this is common with the clones

go to menu /customise /change to expert/ go down to long button hold and change to shutdown.

Also have not turned mine off in 2 years as i have a notebook cooler underneath keeps box from getting hot which is most of the problems.

First time I've heard that mate, put my box on standby and pull the plug evert night, plug in the morning boots up fine no issues. 18 months and still going strong.
