    Sim 2.1

    Hi guys, I bought a dreambox from e*ay new, and it came pre installed with Gemini 5.1 bl#70 and sim 1. I also have a damaged box with sim 2.1 fitted. Can I install the sim into the new box, I am unsure as I tried yesterday and it gave me a error on the screen. I am thinking that the error is because of the image that is preinstalled is for the sim 1 card so if I flash a new image for the sim 2.1. would I be right to believe that it will work? or is there more to it than that. I have three different sims knocking about and would like to oviously use the latest version.
    Any Ideas???

      Sim 2.1 is for the se so definitely not mate. Also if u mean 2.01 i think the anwser is still no, as I think there were hardware changes to acommodate the new sims. If it was a new ferrari sim you had then yes you could i believe.

          I have installed the 2.01 card in the box and all is well so far with dream elite 1.33d v3 sim 2.01 it is scanning some channels. will keep you psted on how it performs

              Doesnt matter what sim you choose to put in the box its making sure its the correct image thats compatible with the sim.
              Most of the No Ca Found is caused by using an image that has the wrong sim for it.
              The Dream Elite Phoenix image is a top image for the Sim 2.01 mate.

                  Your right about the image, but i am pulling my hair out trying to get my clines working with cccam2.2.1 config file is in var etc and ive added them with no bother but nothin is open at all. What to do? any ideas.

                      Dont mention the cline word
                      Are your fta channels working?
                      Are you certain you have added the line correctly? No # before the C?
                      Are you adding to Ccam.cfg?
                      Could always try ccam 2.13 or 2.14 both are very stable.
                      Im still using 2.13.

                          Sorry forgot about that, yes lines are going into config free to air are fine.
                          Will try 2.13 tried 2.14 but it is the same.
                          It is var/etc that they go to isnt it? like the 500s
                          I thought I knew what I was doing with these things

                              On mine its Etc then Ccam,cfg but there more than one way to get to it.
                              Also like you said.
                              If you done it correctly you can view the file and see if its wrote correctly.

                                  Yes fine in both location. tried on two different images now and both done the same, Just got rid of the 500s tonight and I just renewed my months scelin's

                                      Unless you can get someone to test it i would say its the server.
                                      Take it you have done a network test in network?
                                      Take it you must have if your downloading ccams?
                                      That can be your only problem unless you get someone else to try the line.

                                          What I can do is see if I can get one of the free trials and see if that works.

                                                      because dvi doesnt CARRY sound. its purely video. you need to use phono (red and white) from box to tv or optical out

                                                          Would be most grateful if you would kindly explain the difference between SIM 2,01 and
                                                          Sim 2.1 or 2.11.
