dreambox help

hi all just had a kryptview put upstairs and just had a dreambox fitted down stairs, can anyone tell me how do i find out what firmware (or what image) is on my box i have tried to press menu but nothing comes up yes i have bought the box with all the added features on so what i really want to no is how do i add things on my box ie to update things eg any help thanks

null modem cable, dreamup and an image file.. plijade is very popular, or indeed dk image

thanks shadyback i have a null cable will this tell me what image i have on the box or not!!also were to i get the image (up to date) file piljade from or a dk image from and also do i need a program on my computer to download it to my box once again thanks alot

redgirl power of the box and then power it back on again and look at the tv screen ,it show show the image name example the GP (gemini project ), nabilosat darkstar , pli ,dream elite etc . if your going to change the image or modify it you will need dreamup and dream control center you can download dreamup and dream control center as well as dream box edit and other stuff from the last link in my signature area .also i sent you a pm .
