    football - recommended channels?

gonna set up my dreambox using my old sly dish, however i only really need it for the football nothing else

is there a recommended setting for the dish (non motorised) i can leave it on to just pick up the best premiership football stuff, ideally without cs?

Not gonna happen unless you've got a card or a sub.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Your dish will be pointing at 28.2 Astra SkyUK so you will only be able to pick up fta and Sky with a card.
All the football you are reading about are on different sats.

so i cant change the angle of the sat to a service that shows the footy? the sky dish as you know is quite small anyway so pretty useless i suppose

i will prob keep it to 28.2 then and set up my first stuff from there,

been reading jade is the best image to start with? shall i stick to that?

just need a setup guide now but usually ok with techie stuff so hopefully wont need to bother you much

European dish needs to be 80cm,you probably could pick up Hotbird with the mini dish but quality could be affected and the further north you live they say get a bigger dish.
Dishes are not alot of money you could put up a second dish for under 30 quid if you did it yourself.

Most recommend Pli and its my recommended choice.
          Setting up is relatively easy.

thanks for all the help andy

can you just clear one thing up

if i had a motorised dish (large enough!) and i pick up the euro channels are these fta or need a sub?

i kind of understand the cs route for sky uk but does this apply to all the euro channels as well?

just trying to get my head round all this and choose the best route to go down

                    thanks

1 Metre set up completely supplied and fitted about 170 quid unless you have a go yourself.
Regarding the channels either a card or a sub mate.
Most on here probably have a sub or share a card but thats as much as we can say on the matter
                      Will send you a pm
