Null Modem Cable & USB to Modem Cable

My dreambox died and I need to reflash it using a Null Modem Cable. It is stuck in a wizard loop (TV System, Language etc.)

I've been told that the Null Modem Cable is not the same as a Serial or RS232 Cable.

I was searching Maplin and I found these two products:

Would these two work in flashing my dreambox using DreamUp?

Yes that's what you need - null modem is crosswired, so different to a standard serial cable. I too bought a USB to serial 9-pin converter thingy but haven't had to use it (flashing via DCC and no dead box yet, touch wood )
