Looking to get back into the scene

    Hi,

I used to be heavily involved in the scene when eurovox was about before N3

I've moved into a new place - I have a virgin media line and a Telewest sat dish - what is my best option?

Also, can someone please point me (or PM me) the best place to buy these to ensure I'm not buying a clone/getting ripped off.

Hello mate and welcome. I moved from the Eurovox scene to hear some time ago and have never looked back. First thing I did was to find a tutorial and read. Second thing was to read, also was the third. Then you need to start looking at buying some gear. If your going down the HD route you should go for a DM800s or maybe a DM800se. These can be picked up from the UK or HK, obviously UK is more expensive. If you source them from HK you can save some cash and will pay maybe ?100 for a DM800s, ?150 for a DM800se. You obviously need a satellite dish up and running also..

As for not buying a clone - well you are going to be paying a lot more money then for maybe a VU Solo or Duo. Dont be afraid of the clone wars, they are still decent bits of kit. I wouldn't dream of buying an original DM800 when you compare the prices.

Good luck in your new journey!

Nothing wrong with Clones mate they very good value and generally good quality at a third of the price.
Like Micflair says, the best thing to do is get yourself involved in a few posts do loads of reading and with help from the lads all your questions will be answered.
