Difference between Dreambox models

I want to get a new Dreambox but dont know what the differences are between the 500, 800HD, 800HDse, 7020 (apparently not out yet) and 8000.

Also some are cloned apparently and to get an original 800HD for example costs 430 pounds which is alot of money for me

I dont know if this website sells originals. It would be great if someone could tell me:
Dreambox 800 HD,Dreambox 500c,dreambox 500s,dreambox 600c,dreambox 600s

They seem to have the cheapest ones by far.

I was told the clones can burn, may not provide the service, no warranty etc. so a little confused.

The processor is meant to be faster on the 7020 and has 2 drives I think and a PVR.

What do u guys think is the best value for money Dreambox?

Dreambox 500s the s stands for satellite 500c are for cable.
Cheap starter box for under 50 quid does everything you need but only sd and not hd,great little box.

Dreambox 800hd same as the 500 but you get hd and pvr so you can stick a drive in and record.
Better epg and similar to set up,few extras like mytube work on it and you can play and stream movies overall a top box and relatively cheap now from China about 115 quid delivered.
Choice is yours the 500 is a good starter box but if you have hd go for the Dreambox 800hd.
Lots of forum support for both boxes.

Hello mate. The ones from China are clones mate, you get what you pay for in this game, pay 400quid + for an orignal, or a quarter of that for a well made clone that will do the job.

DM800hd for about 115 as stated is where you should go I think pal, its where most of us start off. Or spend the bit extra for the DM800hd se, nice colour screen and a bit better built. Can pick them up from China for about 150quid. You will pay more if you buy them from a UK source, its just if you want to bother ordering from China etc..

No gamble involved mate, most of them are fine, but obviously go with one that has good feedback on here. Personnaly I order from Tony at Yaoxin Electronics, there are plenty of threads here about who to order from over there. Find one that you like the sound of and go for it!

Ive just used Tina from Yaoxin she charged me 175 dollars,115 quid for a Dreambox 800hd pro tuner M 801A and it took 4 days to turn up and hopefully no evidence it was opened by customs so hopefully no tax to pay.
Very good to deal with.

yeh , i get a shipment thru this week from yaoxin , no charges incurred , yet my previous six shipments all got me stung for "taxes" ,
tbh , the taxes are minimal anyhow , as tina will put value as 30$ and sample , so worse case scenario is ?7 - ?8 taxes

Here's how it seems to work:

You ask nicely by email for a quote to supply 1 box of your choice, shipping to your country. [done]
You get a quotation that includes the email addres to send Paypal money to. [received]

You send the money via p/p and make a note of the transaction ID [the next step]
You then send an email to the person you dealt with telling them the txn number and txn subject - i.e. what you called the transaction and giving your address (most important!)

3 or 4 days later, during business hours, someone will attempt to deliver a package to that address.

In the meantime you will have to buy a couple of AA batteries for the remote control.
