Dreambox to Router to Labtop

Hi Folks,

Quick question, if i have my dreambox connected directly to my router via cat5 cable and my labtop is connected via cat5 also, can I safely flash an image to the box or must the lan cable be connected directly to the dreambox?

In the process of ordering some cat5 cables on ebay (long ones) and the answer will affect which lengths I buy.

yeh , flash away mate , my dreambox never leaves situe , always stays connected to tv , provided its networked you can do all your configging from any pc on that network either wired or wireless

Sweet, thanks Southpaw. Wasn't sure whether you had to have the cable hardwired directly to the laptop for flashing etc as I know the connection has to be rock solid. Happy days!
