How do i update clients channel lists via server ?

I heard today that it maybe possible to update channel lists etc via server to my clients, can someone maybe point me in the direction for info on this or a basic idea of what's needed. Would help alot not to have family calling me everytime a channel freq moves

yeah the less have to tell the Mrs what to do the better

to update a channel lists
you have to log into the box and send the list over via dreamboxedit
or do a manual scan of the channel or sat

dreamboxedit dont work remotely
so you would have to do it manual with a ftp program
sending the channel lists files to 3 different directorys
on a dm800 or dm500

and have there dm password aswell

Yeah but only works if your on the same network, in order to do that ( outside of network ) you would need to configure their router to accept and to connect via ftp the other alternative is something like teamviewer but thats a pain in the arse if your trying to do a few at the same time. There was a post on here the other day where someone mentioned that the server they connected too updated the channel list for them via the yellow button so i'm guessing this is either a plugin or something at the server end ?

give em all a copy of dreamboxedit
tell em where to get the latest settings
and show zee family how to use it

some images allow u to add/use your own addons server if u have little hosting u could upload the channel list to there and get um to download via the blue button

I do all my family from home. However, I run openvpn on my OSCAM server so all my clients act like there on my internal network and dreamboxedit/flashfxp all work a treat.

edg nemesis , dreamelite pheonix , have the extra url addon , you could edit an old one of these to point to your own host

Southpaw ........ i get the idea beind using useraddon.xml i could edit and get 1 of them to point to some private webspace i guess, but i would need a plugin hosted there to download a plugin that would update the channel listing to say the latest sgtflipflop does one exist ?
