Rytec or Open TV for EPG ?

Hi have had a bit of trouble with the rytec epg not always downloading manual download works but timed seems to cause problems? have just set up crossepg for open tv 28.2 and it seems to work every way, what is the best for epg? I know that rytec needs to be downloaded from various servers but where does the open tv source come from have read that it is downloaded from the satellite not from the web can anyone confirm this.

    Regards

I've been using the OpenTV stream for a while with CrossEPG - it gives fuller descriptions than Rytec ever did

In the CrossEPG setup, choose the storage medium and update time in configure, then go into OpenTV providers and select Sky UK OpenTV (Astra2 on 28.2), then you can download

I have done the above and I still don't see any other EPG than the standard Now and Next? I have uploaded the openTV a couple of times and it parses all the events (whatever that means) but what happens from there. Where is the EPG?
            Your help would be appreciated.
