German and Spanish channels

Hi all!
Just a quick question:
I have an old analogue receiver on which I use to pick up German channels on, now I have a dreambox and I can pick just Spanish channels up and no German- from the same dish.

Can anyone tell me why this is please?

it depends on what satellite your pointing towards and weather or not there transmitting those same channels any more as loads of old analogue channels moved to different satellites once they went digital.

well its at 19.2E, I dont move the dish I can just take out the cable and swap it over straight away and get the channels on the analogue but then put the cable back in the dbox and not recieve the same channels.

well the dreambox is a digital receiver and can not pickup the analogue channels. as i said it may be that those channels are not transmitted in digital format on the same satellite.
