haha that thing is a beast!

I live about 30mins from you OP, I have a motorised. Think I paid about 120quid for an 80cm with motor from ebay a few years ago. Will pick up a lot of stuff, but really you will only use 0.8w, 13e,19.2e and 28.2e. Not much else really worth bothering about!

Nope, so long as it's big enough to give you a zero BER (error rate) for the satellite(s) you want, that's good enough
and do i need a motorised dish
No. You can just point a dish at 28E and watch S_y. If you want more sats, you can get a Triax dish of 80cm or more and a multi-LNB mounting track. That way, provided you use slim LNBs you can receive up to 4 satellites through a Diseqc switch so long as they are all >3? away from each other (and less than about 20? in total) I've got one that pulls in 28E, 19, 16 and 13 - though I did have to file down the edges of the LNBs to get them close enough..

... and how much does a dish cost to put up
For a simple 45cm S_y dish, reckon on ?100 minimum for someone to stick it up for you. The more "specialised" you get the more it'll cost and the fewer will be the number of installers who would be willing and able to do the work (though you may only find out that they don't knwo what they're doing until afterwards )
            Mama's got a Dreambox ...
