    DCC and CCCam config

    Hi all,

Relative newbie here but reading all I can and SLOWLY understanding more and more. However I have a couple of questions I would appreciate answered.

    1. If I check network with DCC and all shows green and "network OK" then check line is correct and at right IP address, does that mean that if I am not receiving channels that any fault must be at "source"? Don't want to start faffing about if there is nothing wrong at my end !All FTV channels are fine. I get this in the Protocol box :

    Telnet Connected
    FTP Connected
    Enigma2 detected

    2. When I try to switch of DCHP in box I get green screen and have to re-boot. Why?

Appreciate your time taken to answer. Cheers.

1- if your line is in configuration file okay and you have restarted your cam ie chosen 2.1.4 or 2.2.1 then pressed okay to restart.then problem may be at source.
2- sorry no idea just a glitch with image maybe but only guessing there.

If you getting green screen whilst changing a relatively simple setting then something ain't right mate.
Dcc is telling you it can speak to Dm, but that doesn't necessarily mean Dm is online over wan, just local LAN.
Personally I would reflash it mate an correct that dhcp glitch

        Thanks Southpaw,

So if I was to download a plugin that would confirm WAN is working also ?

        Cheers

Always try a plugin 1st that tells you if your online, then if dcc gives you all green, the local connection is working fine.

If the box is crashing then I would reflash it.

            Thanks.

Right reflashed box. Can now de-select DCHP and have done so.
            Downloaded army plugin and installed.
DCC showing all green. Network O.K. showing.
            Re-installed line after flash.

            Can do no more ?

Possibly fault at source or is there anything else I can try ?

            Thanks again to all.

              I have checked softcam also.

It shows cccam selected but not version type. Would this matter ?

              I am using Openpli.

              Thanks.

am taking it, you mean your not getting special channels and only FTA.

In which case by sounds of it, its not ure problem its the one you get the special channels from.

search for cccaminfo and use that

or down load it from ppanel from the plugin menu

                  You are correct Rodbuoy.

Have done as you suggest and cccam info shows clients etc. as 0.

However, in online servers I am showing host connected.
Would source still be my problem then....I don't want to tamper unnecessarily ?

                      Menu option 6 is standby/restart

When I go to Softcam/CI selection I am offered CCCam or none. I have selected CCCam. There is no option to save. I can restart but still the same !

Might I have the wrong CCCam ?

When you goto soft cam menu you should see colour coded options at bottom do you not?

Also in default CCcam should have CCcam and version.

No. I get in a square box in middle of screen :

Softcam CJ setup as the title
                          Select softam
                          Restart softcam
                          Cancel
                          OK

Select softcam options are cccam or none

At no time can I see the version or anything else on screen

Sorry, I am basing this on E1,

but if you pick restart cam and cccam is selected it should be ok.

Do you have another box to test?

Might just sit and wait to see if it comes back.....just wanted to watch something on now...

                              Thanks again. Appreciated.
