so my question is which dreambox should I buy and how can I stream to his dreambox??

My brother would really be glad if I can solve this... :P he loves the movies channels that I have hehe..

So If u would be kind guiding me through these steps..

If you are using a dish with your dreambox than you are posting this question in the wrong section as this is the dreambox cable section and you want the satellite section. To stream through the internet you would need a very high bandwidth and you would also need to send the output to a pc which could compress the output before sending through the internet to another pc. Your other option would be something called cardsharing.

The only way your brother is going to get the channels that you are getting is through cardsharing and you are not going to be able to do cardshare between a satellite box and a cable box. The short answer to your question is NO.

I wasnt asking the original question Curious.. I just thought my question above as a merger to the original question of this thread

If its to much a fuss to do it through the internet and you mentioned cardshare, thats why I asked was it possible to get channels sharing from another box without the source from the initial network (Dish/Cable)

His brother has not/cant have no Dish

I am sorry but I maybe missing the point but how is your borther going to recive anything without a dish unless he has a a cable feed or terestrial feed? The only other way he is going to get a feed is through his pc across the internet.

The only way this would work is if you set up both dreamboxes in your home using a double lnb on your satellite dish, and connection them up to your router then set one of them up so your brother can connect over the internet and by using his computer to control and view television through the dreambox from your home, he could then connect his computer to the television set, its the only way this could work.

                    Regards.
