it depends on how much you want to spend, and if you need to use different satellites.
you can get a cheap dreambox from about ?30 , or you can pay about ?500 for a new VU box that will give you a nice steady box with recording, HD , everything
personally because your German , i would suggest looking at the Clarke Tech extrend 9x00 . These are made in germany but WOS are possibly the best sellers in the UK with superb support, and comes with an image already on..
i think you cant go wrong if you choose between a VU+ and an Extrend box, at least you will get all the support you will need, and very stable and faultless boxes IMO

Basically any box that runs Enigma 1/2 and has an ethernet connection will do. So as cheap as a DM500S or as expensive as a DM8000. The DM500's are about 75 euros off ebay. There is more to it than that, but that can't be discussed on here. You will also need an internet connection to use.My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
