Motor Problems

I upgraded from a Technomate 5200 using usals and working fine to a non clone Dreambox DM800 HD PNR

The DM800 however despite all attempts is unable to turn the motor at all using diseqc or usals.

The DM800 doesnt seemt to be able to turn the motor at all, as soon as I plug my techomate back in it works perfectly using usals.

It seems that there is no power reaching the motor at all, from what I have read it seems like a common problem.

Does anyone know of a fix, thanks in advance.

It's probably your tuner configuration that isn't set up right mate
Have a look at the guides in the stickies.

Thanks for the reply im new to the Dreambox and really gratfull for all the help. I have read the sticky posts, but could I ask two questions.

1. What is the best Image to use the most up to date one ?



2. My USALS setting is 3.2 W and 51.5 N

How does this translate on the Spiderbox ? It has lots of zeros before and after the .

Really apprichate your help with this.

Ok you enter your long lat in the dm800 like this.

long 003.200 west
lat 051.500 north
The image is a personal choice, but I stick to openPli image.
Have you set the box up in simple mode or advanced?

Thank you so much for your help, the box has a gemini image on it an with your help I have managed to get the motor to move in simple mode.

Im really keen to use a openpli image, I can see how you flash the box (im doing it over my lan)

I have downloaded the DM800 image but when I flash the box I get INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)

This happen regardless of the DM800 pli image I choose.

Hi mate glad your getting there.
The image is looking for the bootloader, so you need to flash it withe the correct bootloader for the image you are using.
So you dont say which version it is, it will be either ssl82 or ssl84, so flash it with that nfi file first reboot the box then flash with the image, that should be it.

I have read a few tuorials but they talk about a user name and password.
