    monoblock

    Hi all.
    I have a monoblock installed, 13e 19.2e.
    I have perfect reception from the Astra satellite, but from hotbird it is not as good. When I intalled it I clamped the Astra one onto the bracket. I have done the DisE qc settings as well.
    Do I need to turn the block so the hotbird is pointing slighty up?

      I think that your dish needs to be focused on hotbird 13, then you skew the lnb to receive astra 19 as well. Bigger the dish the better.

          hi all

          i have a problem with my new dish i have set up a monoblock 13 and 19, begining with hotbird signal very strong up to 85%, then stewed lnb slightly up to get astra some channels have 80% quality but no picture at all on them, hotbird is working 100% and astra search only reveals about 300 channels but none of them has a picture although signal is high, can anyone help please? what have I done wrong?

          I am in london, clear sky, no trees or buildings, dish is triax 65 cm

              Hi. I think Astra is slightly lower than Hotbird. What are the channel names on Astra?? I just wonder whether your on a different satellite to Astra. If you have tuned in Astra channels then they should work unless they are scrambled. Sometimes when you get NO AUDIO/VIDEO message it means you have correct frequency but wrong satellite. It has happened to me a couple of times. Regards.

                  If 19.2e is the centred one then the one for 13e will be on the right hand side as you look at the dish,
                  And vice versa if 13e is the centred one.

                      after a bit of adjustment i managed to get some channels clearing, but the trouble is i can't get all of them at once, if i get CSAT working i loose D+ and vice versa, hotbird is not affected it is working fine

                      what is wrong here??

                              Hi. How are you getting CSAT and D+? I know on TNTSAT on Astra i need to go on channel NT1 to clear the other channels when i lose them. It may be the same problem for you. Regards.
