how much do you want to spend
which model do you like, they all
set up more or less the same way
do you want a original or a clone and
as for where to get one from.myself i
would say if your in the uk there are lots
of places who sell both originals and clones

The firmware that you put on it getting it bricked for instance. The vu+ solo is a very good box and worth thinking about. Probably better with one from good retailer. You can always take it back if having any problems.

The Blade 7000s for ?150 gets good reviews if hd is a requirement, there are cheaper hd boxes but not sure how they compare for av quality or ease of use.

DM800 clone I have had three for well over a year and installed several for m8s no probs. HD linux box with lots of good images and support also about ?110 to ?140. If I woz to go for a non clone then Vu+ would be my choice but just over the ?200 mark. Its all a personal choice m8. I have bricked my clone more than once and they can always be recovered. As long as you are sure about the image you are flashing then there is no prob with a clone

I would agree with the dm800hd clone,I've had one for a couple of years and the only problems I've had we're of my own making, buy from china from around ?110 and up like the above poster says, then you have cash left to spend on maybe a motorised dish or another cheaper box for another room.

I am also thinking of buying one.
I dont want to spend plenty of cash and end up being not able to figure out, how to set up one.

So I want to start with DM 500S. Can anybody please recommend where to source one in UK (original) and not clone?

                  Many thanks.

I've read in a lot of posts that they have stopped making the dm500s maybe a couple of years ago so the only real one you will find will probably be second hand. Looking at the prices on that site I would say they are clones mate.

                        Thanks Shankill.
Ok out of clones, where to source reliable one?
                        Can anybody suggest good source?
                        Thanks.
