Essentially, the question comes down to things like:

How much money do you want to spend?
What size dish do you have and is it motorized?
Do you just want it to sit there under your TV, or do you want to be able to control it over the net and stream your video connect over your network or the internet etc?
Do you want HD or are you not fussed either way?
Do you want it to have an inernal hard disk for recording to?

The more you want to do the more complex it gets, but that is what Digital Kaos is all about, helping each other understand and operate their kit.

Sky isn't hacked the same way as cable is, the only publicly known method of getting free sky is by sharing the card of a legitimate subscriber.

A Dreambox is ideal for this.
