All depends on how much you can afford/want to pay, Roughly a clone DM800se will set you back around ?130 the original on the other hand will cost you around ?429

lots of people use clone dreamboxes with no problems at all ,ive got a clone dm500s and a dm7020 myself and they both work well .but if your not restricted by a budget by an original version .or you could opt for a vu+ duo ,its a linux box so in a sense its the same as a dreambox . its a well built box and if you shop around you will get one a lot cheaper than the ?400 plus you would pay for a genuine dm800 .also the vu+ duo has two tuners ,so if you have two satellite feeds you can view one channel while recording another . this one when converted to pounds works out at about ?100 less than a genuine dm800

if you shop around you may get one even cheaper.
i love it when a dreambox comes together.

That one actually comes out at just over ?323 not a good saving when you can pick one up for around ?285

clones are all ive ever used? dm 500/800 and now vu+ never had major issues with any of them.
my opinion is the same as the others, depends on your budget.
i have a vu+ that i am using at the moment, best box ive had upto now.

Where would you get a DM800se for ?130? I've only seen them around the ?180 mark.

                  Hi

If you buy it from China suppliers then price may be thereabouts.

                  Regards

you can tell by the price ,originals cost as much as double what a clone costs if not more . there are no original dm500s boxes as they havent been made for a few years now . a dm800 original will cost upwards of ?400 where as clones range from about ?130 up to about ?200 . it should also be noted that if you buy from asia customs may ask you to pay customs duty which could be ?10 to ?20 ,of course some people buy boxes and are not asked to pay customs ,i guess its luck of the draw. also buying from asia has its risks ,the biggest being that if your box arrives faulty it can be difficult and in some cases impossible to get these guys to honour their guarantee .

The gigablue no issue of if its a clone or not and is said to be a good alternative to the dm800 and support from the teams that make the images seems to be growing - they also have a very nice box in the making.
