    Best Seller in UK?

    All

    What would you consider to be the best UK-based seller of Dreambox equipment? Overseas sellers can be a drag due to 'snail mail' post.

    Currently have a Dreambox 500s (SD, Enigma 1) bought in 2010 from a seller based in Merseyside. Works a treat.

    Looks like I'll be setting up 2 or 3 Dreambox 500s (SD/HD - depends on what friends choose) pretty soon. I'm going to go for a Dreambox 800 HD PVR for myself.

    I run Commando 14.6 with CCcam 2.30 on my Dreambox 500s (SD) having switched from Darkstar II image running CCcam 2.1.3. Initially ran Pli Jade 3 but liked Darkstar II (personal preference). Again, open to debate, what is the best image for a Dreambox 800 HD PVR. OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800-20120526 as been suggested.

    Thanks for your time and feedback.

    Regards, BromsgroveBhoy.

    you can try here BLACKBOX 500s its same as 500s and few people and myself have used them.
    Have you thought about a mini HD box for around ?57, like here h**p://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280884753368?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1497.l2649. easy to set up but you will only get now and next EPG. Picture quality is good but you cant tinker around with them like linux boxes. It will record to ext usb, play media files you can get it with wireless dongle for a few pounds more.I deal for parents etc who only want to use box to watch channels.

        Hi Smoggie,

        Something like this? -> h**p://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKYBOX-F3-WITH-FREE-NEXT-DAY-DELIVERY-ORGINAL-upgrade-from-openbox-s11-s9-/330772444279?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Satellite_TV_Recei vers&hash=item4d0392f477

        Get a lot of 'bang for buck' with this.

        When to say "can't tinker" do you mean no flash image and sealion(ing)?

        Regards, BromsgoveBhoy

          yeah, somethimg likw that, although that one has he usb port at the front I think. The skybox M3 has the rear usb.These type of boxes are closed source, so you can only use the software supplied with the box or future updates from them. You back up your images and flash them to another box. You are able to use it with the likes of cccam and sealions but you dont have a different variety of images from different developement teams that open source linux boxes have.
