Dreambox

I have a a dreambox downstairs and it all works great, is there any way of connecting it to my tv upstairs as well as down? Kind of like multiroom!

it depends on which dreambox you have ,if you have a dm500 its difficult but it can be done .

if your dreambox has an rf output (a dm500s does not ) you could connect long lenght of cable to it and run it to the tv upstairs , a dm7020 has an rf output but not all dreamboxes have them .an rf output is the regular old fashioned tv connection ,like the way we connected a video recorder to a tv before they gave us scart sockets .

if your box doesnt have an rf output you have to look at other options .if you have a video recorder or dvd recorder they should have an rf output ,so you could connect your box to the video or dvd recorder via scart and then run a long lenght of cable from the rf output to the tv above .

you could get an rca to rf convertor ,there are 3 little connectors on the back of the box one is yellow one is white the other is red and they would connect to the convertor and then you would again run a long leght of cable from the rf connector to the tv upstairs .

another option is video senders these days you have a sender and a reciever , you connect a video sender to the scart connect on the back of the box and conect a video reciever to the upstairs tv via the scart socket . if your box has only one scart socket as a dm500s has you will not then be able to connect the box to the downstairs tv via scart ,but you can connect the box to the downstairs tv via the red /white/yellow rca conections on the back of the box .

if youve got a laptop you can even change the channels on the box via your laptop from your bedroom .or you could install vlc player in your laptop and watch the channels on your box on your laptop .
