    Dreambox on Virgin Media ISP

    Hi

Would it be safe to run a Dreambox with like a sky card on a Virgin Meida broadband network?

Has anybody had any issues trying to do this with Virgin or any other ISP?

Do they sniff protocols or packets or anything?

Oh rite, so if i had my box running via a sky server and if I had Virgin broadband there's only 1% chance of getting caught.

Is that the same wit Sky broadband too?

As data tends to transit via a fairly limited number of UK backbones and the providers all have reciprocal transit agreements it really doesn't matter which provider you go with.

Anyway, if they wanted to monitor then chances are it would be the server they looked at, so anything connecting to that server would automatically be suspect.
