Dm500 or Dm800se

Im after buying one of these little babies but what is the better box? dm500hd or the dm800hd se?

I have a skybox f3 at the moment and now looking at moving to a better box, I know alot of these are clones but good clones, whats the difference between them both?

Dreambox 800HD is a much better sat receiver but make sure you get the DN with the latest DM800 HD PRO ALPS M (801-A) tuner

Skybox F3 is Just as good expect it does not have the same support as the Dreambox

The 500HD and the 800se both use the same chipset BCM 7405, the difference you pointed out though still make it a better buy than the 500

Im still finding it hard hunting round for a good place to buy and exactly which box (type) to buy, ebay seems expensive, amazon have very little and the china sites seem to have a long delivery time?

Any one suggest a good site in this country and the exact box to go for at the best price?

Thats the biggest rip off price well not the biggest but it aint cheap for an DM800, do not buy one at that price. Goto nextbay online shop and order one from there takes around 4 days.

For the DM800se delivered ?135 around 218 dollars far better value than the site quoted above and that includes delivery.

1. DM800HDPro Sat M Tuner Simcard 2.10
2. DM800HD SE Sat Version


I think that the dm800hd se is faster but the other has the better tuner.

Always go with the better tuner it will make a big difference when using your dreambox e.g. signal quality

The Tuner is better in the 800se as the only reason they changed it in the 800 was because originally it was crap, they dont have the same problem with the DM800se Sim 2.10
