disconnection

Dear all

I have a dreambox that keeps disconnecting my internet connection after a couple of minutes.

My adsl router works fine with my laptop and never disconnects. the problem starts as soon as i put on the dreambox. the dreambox is connected by an ethernet cable to my wireless router and disconnects approx every 20 mins?

do you think its a faulty router? i have a thomson router.

Any help pls as i cannot enjoy watching a movie if it keeps disconnecting

a dreambox shouldn't cause you any problems , id try another Ethernet cable and id try the box in a mates house to see if the same problem occurs . if your router is dropping the connction ring your broadband provider (don't mention a dreambox or cs) just say your broadband connection drops off every 20 minutes and they can check it for problems .

maybe some conflict with another device on system, check its ip address. Make the dreambox static if need be
