DM500 Dream up help

Hi iam trying to connect my dream box to my laptop using a usb to r3232 with the null modem cable on the end of that but dream up is not finding my box is there any other softwere i can use

You would be better trying to find a friend who has a genuine RS232 port built into there laptop/PC for this to work 100%

i have also had the same problem and spent ages pissing about and from what i have read so have hundreds of others, just bought me a cheap pc hopefully that will do it

you need a serial NULL cable/or NULL modem cable as just a serial cable is wired differently , just bought 1 off ebay for 2 quid
