    Problem with west sats

I have a problem getting my motor to view any west sats..when i go to watch any channel on any of the west sats the screen say wait whilst your motor turns to x.x*w..
So i wait and wait but the dish wont move and the box crashes..all east sats are fine..any ideas guys?

The dish is not properly aligned or the long/lat settings in your box are not accurate i.e the dish is not aligned to the satellite arc. You might also need to bear in mind that the dm500 tuner is not as sensitive as the the technomate so it may need a bit of fiddling.

Okay you said that the tuner may not be as sensitive but even if i goto watch bbc world on thor the moving message comes up and never disappears..theres summat not right

If the BBC World on 1W Thor is not perfect than I would say there is a problem between the dish alignment and lat/long either in your box or your dish. Try flexing your dish when it is on BBC World to see it improves reception.

i'd be inclined to agree with curious on this as BBC world is on the strongest transponder on thor, if you cant get this your pretty much ~~~~ed for the rest.

do you know of anyone else that has a dreambox so you can see if their box receives it ok on your setup?

well once again the rest of my east arc is fine! the DM has the same lat/long settings as the TM whichoperates perfectly! i might have to use the TM to move to all west sats and save them into the DM using loop out!
