Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

Hi Mfaraj57, i have been using the software for a few weeks now it tells me the bitcontrol evaluation period has expired. (Using windows 7), problem is if i have 1.5 installed i get a really good picture, if i remove 1.5 and just leave 2.5 on the picture breaks up but the evaluation message dissapears.

dreamcodec 1.5 is graphic codec so without it the picture naturally would be poor in quality
about the licence message occured due to error in registering the codec by program
To fix the error
first from c:/program files/common files/btctrl run all unist- files then delete the folder completely
from program folder/filters run the program dreamcodecsetup2.5.exe
if above failed from settings check "use vlc to play e1 dreambox"

Thanks Mfaraj, neither worked, i then ripped completely out including registry entries, reinstalled and still got the same problem, i then installed the latest player from bitcontrol, this then completely blanked my screen.
I then unistalled the latest bitcontrol 3.2 and the message on my screen dissapeared but what i am getting now is a pop up around every 10 mins saying the evaluation period has expired, i will keep playing around and let you know if i get a solution. Thanks Saint

sorry for delay i response
program uses two method for displaying enigma1 dreambox(dm500)
first: This is default by using windows media player by aid of bitcontrol and this include two components
bitcontrol? MPEG Decoder 1.5
bitcontrol? Digital TV Link 2.5 and these versions should be used with program else the program will be unstable
i found bitcontrol more stable with enigma1 dreambox specially when gemini in dream
but unfortuntlly bitcontrol is not free like vlc and the progam does the registeration automatically
i windows 7 the process of registeration may be inturrupted so licence message appear

second:by using vlc plugin and this more stable with pli-jade in dreambox
to activate this just check the "use vlc for playing E1 dreambox" from settings

to solve the issue
1- install latest version of program
Tunisia-sat dreambox player and webstreamer 6

2- after complete installation run the program for first time in windows from
start-control panel-programs-run programs made for previous versions of windows and choose xp mode settings for the program

Ive had this running fine on XP and Windows 7's 100% with a wee bit of tinkeringon both OS's.

This is a very good program! I have used Dreambox VLC Streamer by HellX - and thats a simular program that does the same service, but it doesnt work 100% on my computer. I get lagging and pixel problems somehow....enough of that!

Therefore I installed "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tunisiasat dreambox player&streamer6.0\Tunisia-sat dreambox player&web streamer6.0.0.exe" on my ASUS UL30A laptop with Windows 7 64 bit.
Here are my results:

First off all, easy setup and portforwarding did go smoothly on my router. I tested a channel with the prequality setup 400k and that worked fine over the LAN and the WAN.

QUESTION 1:

What are the detail on the 400k prequality setup ? Can you listup each settings for me? (BTW: Sound was poor on this)

I then tested with the other prequality setup, and they worked fine too!

But then, when I wanted to do the ADVANCED mode, NOTHING worked! I tried several different settings, but each time i pressed the "start streaming" after aplying the new settings, VLC opened but nothing happend.

Could you LIST UP more prequality setups for us, that you know wil work? Also implement this in the newer versions.

advanced settings need some knowldge in streaming criteria else program will not stream,the following are general outlines

in the program two popular access methods listed
HTTP and MMSH
encpasulation or called mux many listed in program

ts encapsulation: the MPEG2/TS muxer. This the standard muxer used to stream MPEG 2. This muxer can be used with any access method. Supported codecs are MPEG 1/2/4, MJPEG, H263, H264, I263, WMV 1/2 and theora for video, MPEG audio, AAC and a52 for the audio stream.

ps: the MPEG2/PS muxer. This the standard muxer for MPEG 2 files(.mpg). It can be used with the file and http output methods. Supported codecs are MPEG 1/2 and MJPEG for video, MPEG audio and a52 for audio streams

mpeg1: the standard MPEG 1 muxer. This muxer should be used instead of ps with MPEG 1 video streams, when saved to a file or streamed over HTTP. Supported codecs are MPEG 1 and MPEG audio.

ogg: the ogg muxer. This is the muxer from the Xiph project. It can be used with the HTTP and file output methods. Supported codecs are MPEG 1/2/4, MJPEG WMV 1/2 and Theora, audio streams can be vorbis, flac, speex, a52 or MPEG audio.

asf: the Microsoft ASF muxer. This is the standard muxer used for streaming by Microsoft's softwares. Is also used as container for WMA audio files. This muxer can be used with the file and HTTP output methods. Supported codecs are MPEG 4, MJPEG, WMV 1/2 for video, MPEG audio, a52 for audio streams.

asfh: this is a special version of the ASF muxer, that should be used for MMSH streaming. MMSH is the only supported output method. Supported codecs are the same as for ASF.

avi: the Microsoft AVI muxer. This is very common encapsulation format for MPEG 4 files. The only supported output method is file. Supported codecs are MPEG 1/2/4, H263, H264 and I263 for video, MPEG audio and a52 for audio streams.

mpjpeg: the multipart jpeg muxer. This encapsulation format is mostly used on surveillance video cameras with an integrated web-server. Such streams are usually embedded in web-pages and seen with standard Internet browsers, as they are seen as a succession of jpeg images. The only supported output method is HTTP. The only usable codec is MJPEG. No sound track can be muxed in such streams.

to master advanced option you should have know what mentioned above
diffulcut to put more preset compinations because i have put alot of effort to make the program simple

in general with access mmsh choose asf encapsulation and wmv2 codec and mp3 audio codec
for http best is ts encapsulation and vcodec mp4v if you are using vlc .99 and video codec h264 if you are using version above .99
to know the preset compinations values just follow the picture

I uninstalled the newest version ov VLC and installed the 0,99 version as mentioned. Rebooted my computer and ran Tunis...
BUT, now VLC wont start when i press the START STREAMING button, even with the standard profiles in your software.

Tried to uninstall all again, rebooted, but same problem. Now VLC window pops up.

Then I installed the newest VLC Player, and did the same, it now worked. BUT it still wont work when I press advanced feauture and follow your instructions.

Can you try to simulate the same?

please use latest version 6.0.0F
regarding scale it depeneds on your upload speed keep it for video .5 and for audio channel 1 or 2 no difference
regarding width and fps no significant effect in stream
remember to use pli-jade on dream(if u have dm500) not other for good streaming
do not check stream to web tv unless you want to stream to Justin tv
first before playing with advanced try low preset,medium and high if they do not work then there is problem
install latest vlc 1.0.5 for best results

On your profiles it comes MMS and not MMSH. How can i get only MMS in advanced?

Would be fine if you could have made more profiles. 400 k is low...can you make a 1024 and 3000 profile ?

One thing more: If I use your 400 profile, users have to use mmsh://XX.24.12.70:1234/when my users want to open the stream with VLC and mms://XX.24.12.70:1234/ when they use Media player. Whys that?

ASF/WMV and WMV 2 compination is good for streaming to web site put this code in your index or defualt page of your site and start streaming to the site
do not forget to change dns address with yours

mms and mmsh protocols same thing but mmsh used with vlc and and mms used with windows media player this issue of vlc and windows media player and not the choice of the program
you can choose high video bitrates from advanced and i think no need to complicate the program by more presets value
