    Logging into my dreambox remotely

I wanted to know how i can log into my dreambox from miles away when im not at home. On flash FXP i dont know what i need to do to log into it. I have tried remotely logging into my uncles receiver to test this all but it doesnt work. And how too can i see the ":16001"(cccam info pages) page from a non local network?

    cheers.

    found this
in your router, forward port 80 to the DB IP

if you dont have a fixed ISP IP, get a free account from dyndns.com or no-ip, this will give you an actual address, like jackpot.dyndns.tv for example

in your DB download and install inadyn updater, and put in your username, password and providor (dyndns or no-ip)

the db will keep your new addres paired with your dns account, so even if your IP changes, itss get updated for you

then on any net computer, type in jackpot.dyndns.tv and youre connected to your receiver

make sure in the expert setup you tick the 'enable http authentication' so youll get asked for a password to login

ive never tryed this myself and maybe image dependant not 100% sure

If I was you i would stay away from leaving port 80 open this has been talk about a lot on most of the c/s forums people look for this a lot your best way would be if they have a pc at there house set log me in up on it and do it that way this leaves there receiver and your server safe with only the port for sharing set up on it I would also look in to changing the share port to say one of the game ports as the 12000 port will stand out as its in the config and its as plain as day what people are going to be using the port for.

For the web log in page if your were looking to see you friends then all you need is there internet ip address if logging in from your house also have it set up in the config were it says web log in or even add these two lines if there in your config you know to remove the # from the front of them so it will work then just type some thing like this in to your search bar http://80.80.80.80:16001/ making sure you change all the 80 till your ip you need to log in to if done right you will get the Welcome to CCcam 2.0.11 server as im sure you know by the way would this be classed as c/s chat

WEBINFO USERNAME : username (make sure you change user)
WEBINFO PASSWORD : password (make sure you change the password)

you could leave it open m8 and nothing could happen but people do look for it its always better to be safe with anything you have that links to the net and if you have a server then you know the sort of thing you are getting in to don't want any one messing about with your config and so on it dose happen as i said if you can have a pc running with log me in on it it should be a safe way to do it or set remote desktop up on a pc and do it that way up to you to tell you the truth but its all down to keeping thing's secure

ok are you looking to see the web info for cccam if in your house and your looking to look at your own then you put the dreambox ip in if looking to look at your friends then from your house use his internet ip that his box sits on making sure in the configs the http info is on , if looking to edit stuff in his boxc you will need to set port 21 for ftp i think it is set to ip of dreambox then from your house put his internet ip in to were it says ip user and pass and you should log in some routers can be funny if only doing as a test dmz the ip of the dreambox but make sure you turn of after using it as you are opening all ports using dmz so not a safe thing to do

sever might be down it can be some times, its not that hard to set ports up but you must have to set it up in there router not yours as your looking to get in to there box that's why its better to use log me in its free as well go to there site set an account up then send a link to your friend and get then to log in and add there pc or you do it when your at there house when its done just you log in and pick the pc you want to go in to once in open fire fox or what ever they use and log in to dreambox or router what ever you need to do. Here is a link to the site i use this in work all the time when I set dvrs up and I want to check before i leave site that you can log in from out side and see the cameras
