Help with set up of superior dark motor on dm800se

Hi all I know there is a few post on here about the subject but I can't see any real answers, I have a dm800se running openpli, I have a 1.2m dish with a new superior dark motor after the old technomate lost all it's teeth in a wind storm, the dm is set to usals but the motor doesn't move, when I go outside and press the buttons on the dish motor it seems to struggle like there is not enough power to move the dish, is there a power setting on the dm box or is it something else I need to do, remember I am new to this to please be patient with me

    thanks

If you truly do have a 1.2m size dish then really any type of Diseqc motor is well under powered to drive such a large dish, Even if the Marketing Blurb on the side of the box states drives up to 1.4m take that with a pinch of salt.

The Dark motor should drive no bigger than say a Triax 1.1m dish, Could also explain why the previous motor lost its 'Teeth'

You could certainly take the motor indoors and connect to the 800se with a short loop cable and test the drive function to see if it behaves correctly before replacing it back on the Pole/Dish arrangement
