is it against the law to sale FTA dreamboxes?

A friend of mine want to buy and sale dreamboxes over the internet. Is it a crime to do so? There wont be illegal software installed to decode channels.

He did put a test advert on ebay and gumtree and the response was overwhelming, but with every one want to come and collect personally.

Any risk of crossing paths with the owners of the land?

    No its not illegal !

    But:
If they are clone Dreambox receivers he has to sell it and advertise as a clone ebay will not allow the sales of clone or pirate goods..

He can not sell it flashed or programmed to open pay services especially not Sky Digital e.g Cardsharing.

And he should be aware that out of a box of 20 clone Dreambox receivers there will be a few that will not work... Customers will return and look for replacement units.

If he is selling original Dreamboxs, he should realy get othorized and listed as such by Dream-Multimedia as a dealer in the UK ...
